The silicone sponge sheet TYM is supplying are made of a fine cellular construction composed mainley of non-interconnecting cells and are normally of an off-white colour.ther are many applications for the sheeting,but for continuous use they will stand temperatures between -40c to + 200c

black is also stocked in 1.5mm, 3mm, 4mm, 5mm, and 6mmthk

we do have the capability of matching most customer colour requirments

Options

here at TYM standard density stocked is 16lb (250kilogrms per cubic mtr)
but we carry certain grades of UL94 VO grades
other densities and grades are available on request
sponge can be supplied plain or with a high temp backing in sheet form , roll form, strip form or cut gaskets to suit your requirements

the thermal stability of silicone rubber is probably its most important asset.components made from these rubbers are affected only to a small extent by extremes of temperature,ranging from -90 c to + 250c(depending on grade).Even at temperatures as high as +300c silicone rubber will operate for limited periods. silicone rubber is an excellent electrical insulating material,reistance to arcing,corona,ultra-violet light and ozone is good.It decomposes at 400c to 500c leaving an inert, non-flammable and electrically non-conductive residue.Our FR grades meets the flammability requirements of FAR 25/JAR/CS 25 Appendix F,Part 1, (a)(1)(iv) and (a)(1)(v) horizontal flammability tests.Grades TY16(250kilogrms per cubic mtr),TY24(400kilogrms per cubic mtr),TY33(530kilogrms per cubic mtr),have been approved by the WRAS (Water regulations advisory service) as material for use in contact with potable water at temperatures up to 85c.The listing number is 082502 the sponge is predominatley closed cell with low water absorption
