Silicone Sealants
MM RTV102 WHITE 82.8ML TUBE* MIL-A-46106B TYPE 1 RTV102, RTV103, RTV106, RTV108, RTV109, RTV112, RTV116 and RTV118 one component, ready-to-use adhesive sealants are extremely versatile. They cure moisture at room temperature. Acetic acid vapours are released from the sealant surface as a by-product of cure. RTV102, RTV103, RTV108 and RTV109 sealants are standard strength paste consistency products which can be applied to vertical and overhead surfaces where pourable/self leveling sealants are RTV112 and RTV118 sealants are self-leveling products which are preferable toplaces is desired. RTV106 sealant is paste-consistency sealant. RTV116 sealant is a self-leveling sealant. Both RTV106 and RTV116(red) sealants are standard strength high-temperature sealants. Since all these sealants utilize a moisture cure system, they must not be used in thicknesses of greater than 6mm (1/4 in.). CAF 4 is a one componet silicone elasteomer which cures at room temperature it is Acetic, self levelling and off white in colour it is quick curing (more so then the rtv) has very good mechanical properties, good heat stability and high dielectric properties
RTV 102, 103,106,108,109,112,116 AND RTV 118 sealants can be used in food contact applications where FDA regulations apply RTV 102,103,106,108,109.112, 112, 116,and RTV 118 sealants may be used on equipment which may contact edible products in official establishments operating under the frederal meat and poultry products inspection program (FDA 21 CFR 177.2600 USDA ,NSF, INTERNATIONAL STD.NO.51) RTV 102(white) ,RTV 103(black), RTV 108(trans),RTV 109(aluminum) are a general purpose paste used for bonding,sealing electrical insulation,formed in place gaskets.can be applied to vertical or overhead surfaces (FDA 21 CFR 177.2600 USDA ,NSF, INTERNATIONAL STD.NO.51) RTV 106(red) high temp used for sealing heating elements,gasketing,electrical insulation and other critical bonding and sealing applications where parts must perform at high temeratures.Can be applied to vertical or overhead surfaces (FDA 21 CFR 177.2600 USDA ,NSF, INTERNATIONAL STD.NO.51) RTV 116(red) high temp.Used for thin section potting,filling small surface voids,self leveling protective coating,electrical insulation where high temperature performance is required (FDA 21 CFR 177.2600 USDA ,NSF, INTERNATIONAL STD.NO.51) RTV 112(white), RTV 118(trans) are a general purpose paste used in electrical insulation,thin section potting,self leveling protective coatings,will flow into small crevices and hard to reach places (FDA 21 CFR 177.2600 USDA ,NSF, INTERNATIONAL STD.NO.51)
